Jayvees finish volleyball season 11-6

SoVaNow.com / November 05, 2012
The Halifax County High School jayvee spikers had a successful campaign, finishing 11-6 on the season.

“We did pretty good this season. We played as good as I was expecting. They’re a great bunch of girls. They played really well together,” coach Jessica Martin said.

“We definitely had a good time. The season went well overall,” said Martin. Martin noted Taylor Barnes and Cecile Elliott were pulled up to the varsity late in the season.

“They’re a great asset to our team. They’re very athletic, very quick, and easy to (teach),” she said.

HCHS ended its season on the JV level with a win over GW and then a loss at Franklin County.
