The Halifax American Darlings are scoring early and often in district tournament softball play at the Bethune Complex in Halifax.

HA routed Charlotte County, 21-0, in game three Saturday.

Halifax American scored four runs in the first, eight in the second and nine in the third.

Kamyria Woody-Giggetts batted leadoff, hitting two singles and scoring three times. Trinity Martin singled, tripled and reached on an error and scored three runs. Sarah Watts singled and scored twice.

Madison Barnes scored twice.

Shamya Hankins doubled, walked and scored twice.

Kylie Satterfield doubled twice and scored two runs. Lynia Reed singled twice and scored a run. Samantha Velazquez scored once. Brittany Barksdale singled and scored. Saviana Bailey scored twice.

In other action:

The Halifax National Darlings defeated Brookneal, 17-7, in game one. HN scored four runs in the first, two in the second, four in the third and seven in the fourth.

HN got widespread contributions from across the lineup.

Mallory Salley singled twice and scored once. Peyton Wallace had two singles and scored twice. Tanaya Brandon singled twice and scored twice. Ruby Long scored three runs, reaching on an error, a double and a single.

Alyssa Glasscock singled twice and scored three times, highlighting a lopsided win.

Game two of this district tournament went to the Halifax American Darlings, who throttled Motley, 25-1.

HA wasted no time putting this one away, scoring seven runs in the first inning, nine in the second and nine in the third.

Giggetts reached on errors twice and scored three times.

Martin homered, singled and reached on an error and scored three times. Watts had two singles and scored three times. Barnes doubled and reached on an error and scored three times.

Shamya Hankins homered twice, singled and walked and scored three times. At the bottom of the lineup, Bailey singled, tripled and scored twice.
