Wilton Harrell Clary

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Edith C. Clary of the home, one son, Danny H. Clary (Tamara); two grandchildren Reid Daniel Clary and Samantha Clary Moody (Anthony). Also surviving are two great grandchildren, Wilton Doyle Moody and Harper Abigayle Moody.
Mr. Clary had a love of aviation, receiving his pilot's license before his driver's license. He was a veteran serving in the Navy Air Corp, a retired tobacconist with Liggett and Myers Tobacco Company and also retired store manager with the Virginia Department of Corrections. Mr. Clary was an accomplished clockmaker, guitar maker, fine woodworker and finish carpenter. He loved to play the guitar and banjo, and loved his pets and was often found feeding the backyard squirrels from his hand. He was also a member of Brodnax Methodist Church.
A celebration of life service was conducted Friday, Feb. 1 at Farrar Funeral Chapel with interment in Canaan Cemetery.
The family will received friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
