Oliver Pernard Robinson
Oliver Pernard Robinson, 68, of Chase City, entered eternal rest Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Chase City Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Robinson was born in Chase City, on Oct. 16, 1942 to the late Samuel and Corine Britton Robinson. He was a 1960 graduate of West End High School, Skipwith, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and a member of Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church. Pernard served as an Elder, member of the trustee board, custodian, and overseer of the church cemetery. Prior to retirement he was employed at F & A Automotive for 20 years.

Cherishing his memories are three sisters, Delores Bowling and Carolyn Martin of Chase City, and Theresa Thornton of Augusta, Ga., one brother, Harvey M. Robinson (Beverly) of Chase City, two uncles, Harvey Britton and Howard Robinson (Anna) all of Chase City, one great-aunt Lena Session of South Boston, six nieces, four nephews and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

A funeral was held Saturday, May 7, at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, with Rev. Willie L. Carter Sr., officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
