Joseph Theoderic Pruett

He was born on Sept. 13, 1935 in Mecklenburg County to the late Jack Pruett Sr. and Gladys Dayberry Pruett.
Mr. Pruett enjoyed coaching, fishing, and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Anne Poole Pruett; two sons, Wayne Pruett and his wife, Cara of Chase City, and Warren Pruett and his wife, Melanie of Chesterfield, one daughter, Rhonda Hostetter and her husband, Joe, Jr. of Chase City, grandchildren, Brad Pruett, Jason Pruett, Jordan Pruett, Joshua Pruett, Morgan Pruett, and Kelsey Pruett; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son, Alan Joseph Pruett and a brother, Jack Pruett Jr.
A graveside service was held Sunday, April 21, at Woodland Cemetery with Rev. David Moorefield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any charity of choice.
Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
