Georgeanna Coleman Eargle

Georgeanna Coleman Eargle, 77, of Howard P. Anderson Highway, Halifax, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 at The Woodview. She was born in Halifax County on June 3, 1935, a daughter of Laura Mitchell Coleman and the late Howard Coleman. She was married to David Eargle and was a member of Spanish Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by one daughter, Betty Acre of Nathalie; two step-children, Debra Samuels of North Carolina and David Eargle of New York; two grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Toone of Chatham and Mable Lovelace of Halifax; four brothers, James Coleman, Henry Coleman and Richard Coleman, all of Halifax, and Charlie Coleman of Maryland; one brother-in-law, Herbert Toone; four sisters-in-law, Ruby Coleman, Frances Coleman, Jackie Coleman and Dorothy Westley; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight Coleman.

A funeral will be held Thursday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. at Spanish Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Womack officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be at the church Thursday beginning at noon. The family will receive friends at 435 N. Main Street, Halifax.
