Bernard Clark Jr., 70, of Skipwith entered eternal rest Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013 at Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center, Emporia. Mr. Clark was born in Mecklenburg County on July 19, 1943 to the late Bernard, Sr. and Bessie Tucker Clark.
He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County and was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church. Mr. Clark was a retired farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosa Ann Bullock and Mary Kate Sturdivant and two brothers, Ben Clark and Willie Lee Sturdivant.
Cherishing his memories are three brothers, John Sturdivant, James Otis Sturdivant and Harold Clark all of Chase City, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 7, at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, with Rev. Willie L. Carter Sr. officiating.
