Two indicted on robbery, felony firearms charges
SoVaNow.com / September 18, 2013A Mecklenburg County grand jury on Monday handed down indictments against nine individuals, including Travis Wayne Bing of South Hill and Mitchell David Rich of Boydton, who have been charged with the robbery of Dakota Wilson. The two were separately charged with possession of a sawed-off gun, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Dustin Jermain Gayles of Clarksville was indicted for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Derrick Hilliard of Buffalo Junction was indicted on a charge of malicious wounding in the assault of Antonio Winstead.
Herbert Lee Watson of Baskerville, Larry Darnell Stone of Gretna and Douglas Quinn Kizzie of La Crosse were each separately charged with operating a motor vehicle on a public highway after having been previously convicted as a habitual offender.
Devon Jamur Mosley of Chase City was indicted for assault of a police officer.
Michael Travis Finch of Boydton was indicted on charges of issuing two or more checks in the amount of at least $200, in the aggregate, within a 90-day period which were drawn on an account with insufficient funds.
Indictments are not findings of guilt, but rather a determination that sufficient evidence exists to bring criminal cases to trial.
