Demolition work set to begin in Chase City

The demolition of the old Leggett store building in Chase City will begin Wednesday at the corner of Main Street (Route 47/49) and Second Street (Route 47/49/92) in Chase City.

Traffic will be detoured for up to 10 days while work takes place, weather permitting.

East Second Street will be closed between Boyd Street and North Marshall Street in Chase City.

Drivers are encouraged to use the posted detour route during construction.
