Library hosts book signing with Chase City author
SoVaNow.com / October 16, 2013Author Linda Harper, a resident of Chase City, will host a book signing featuring copies of her book, “The Journey of Love Trilogy - Book One: The Beginning.” The event will be held on Saturday, October 26 at 1:30 p.m. at the Boydton Public Library, located at 1294 Jefferson Street in Boydton.
Those of us who have taken a journey in love know that sometimes it isn’t the fairytale we read about or see on television. The Journey of Love Trilogy will take you through the lives of three couples that will discover their own journey in finding true love. The first book, The Beginning, illustrates that the teenage love we experience isn’t always what we anticipate it to be.
Lilly Peterson finds out there can be a second chance to be with the man she has loved since high school — but at what cost? Drew Santiago, now an NBA star, has traveled and seen the world and other women. How can Lilly, a marriage counselor from back home, compete with that?
Nikki Roberts, one of her best friends since grad school, has been fascinated with her bad boy husband since he moved to their town. Rafe Williams had a hard life growing up but found falling in love with Nikki has made him want to be a better man. But trouble with his restaurant will tempt him into becoming the man he hated — his father.
Alice, another close friend of Lilly who also happens to be Drew’s younger sister, didn’t think of the hardship that an early marriage would bring. Against her father’s wishes, she married Tony Collins, a struggling performer who sings in a band and plays in night clubs. Tony only dreams of making it big until he soon finds out that being married holds a great deal of responsibility.
