Country Hoedown set for Feb. 2

SoVaNow.com / December 19, 2012
Clarksville’s annual Auction and Country Hoedown, a benefit event for the Clarksville Enrichment Complex, will return Saturday, Feb. 2 at The Complex.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and include an auction to raise funds to support all of the community services at The Complex. The evening will start with heavy hors d’oeuvres, including a carving station and all the fixins’, a variety of cheeses, fruits and vegetables with various dips, and delicious desserts, and beverages for everyone’s tastes will be available for free throughout the evening. During this time you can view and bid on items in the Silent Auction.

A wide-range of items have already been donated to the auction. Some will be included in a Silent Auction while others in the Live Auction. Among the items donated are: a penthouse condominium for a whole week on the beachfront at North Myrtle Beach; another week in an oceanfront condo at Ocean Isle; Williamsburg trip; Civil War rifle; Mexican Fiesta Dinner for 10 people; Golf package; fishing, hunting, and camping trips; VIR Ride-a-Long; guitar lessons; and even a kayak for a quiet float on the lake or some vigorous exercise. There will be something for everyone.

Feel free to come dressed for the occasion – cowboy hat, shirt, boots, scarf, or whatever – or just normal. Either way we’ll all have a great time.

Ticket information will be forthcoming soon from the Mecklenburg County Community Services Corporation (MCCSC), sponsors of the event.

For more information, visit the MCCSC website (http://www.mccscorps.org).
